We have had no structural issues with the house since we purchased it. Also, Lou has remained available since we purchased the house to answer questions and to give us recommendations on providers such as plumbers, painters, etc that we have used for routine maintenance on the house. Lastly, Lou genuinely cares that we continue to be completely satisfied with our house >6 years after we purchased it. “Louis Wolfson is simply the best. We have experience with new construction for both a condo and a single family home. After a frustrating, but typical experience with the developer for our condo, we were determined to find a much higher quality developer when we purchased a lot for our home several years later. We met Lou entirely by chance—an incredibly fortuitous encounter.

We viewed one of Lou’s homes in Newton not knowing that he was the developer, and we were extremely impressed by the beautiful design, logical floor plan, and level of detail and finish in his home. We were delighted to find a home where everything simply made sense. Previously, we were disappointed by a series of oddities or aberrations we saw in other homes that weren’t more thoughtfully addressed (e.g., tandem car garage rather than a full 2 car garage, weird extra spaces around door frames, tiny living room in a 5,000 sf home). At this time, we were on the market for a new construction home; we hadn’t yet purchased our lot. When Lou mentioned toward the end of the showing that he was also the developer, we really couldn’t believe our luck and immediately took the opportunity to ask him numerous questions about the construction process of the home.

We ultimately decided we wanted to stay in our town rather than move to Newton, but when we found our lot a few months later, we only considered Lou for the project. I’m someone who typically conducts extensive research for every purchase, but sometimes I also know when I’ve found the right one even without endless comparison. This is one of those times. We trust Lou. He designs every home as if it were his primary residence, and he takes pride in his work. He’s a perfectionist, which is what you want in someone constructing your home. We have a ridiculous attention to detail, and Lou spotted things that we missed. He’s reliable and always answered our phone calls, texts, and emails. When we had an issue on Thanksgiving day after we moved into our home, we called Lou, and he arrived 30 minutes later! He’s reasonable and extremely solutions-oriented. At one point, a contractor told us that something we wanted was highly labor intensive and would cost significantly more than we expected. We couldn’t understand why this was so impossible, and two hours later, Lou arrived with some items from National Lumber that would produce the effect we wanted with essentially no increase in cost.

The quality of Lou’s work shows when you consider how short the punch list was after we moved. We learned later from our real estate attorney that Lou is highly regarded in the area and known as an all-around good guy. We entirely agree. ”
